This is the original type L logic board for the June 04 (mid 04) model of PowerMac G5. This board is compatible with the V1 processors only. It is advisable to only swap like for like with these logic boards.

To confirm that you have a V1 Type L logic board you will need to extract the EEE code from the serial number on the logic board. This number is usually written on a white label either to the left of the PCI graphics card slot, or behind the central fan in the bottom compartment. The EEE number consists of the 3 digits before the last number. (eg: XXXXXXXEEEX) Version 1 has an EEE code of either QRL or RGF
